With the global pandemic known as Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), people all around the world are deploying all sorts of preventive measures and awareness campaigns to stop it’s spread. With over 70 cases in India and increasing as I write this article, it’s high time we make use of our available resources to create awareness campaigns about preventing coronavirus from spreading or being transmitted to you.

What is Coronovirus/COVID-19?

Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a respiratory syndrome which causes the novel COVID-19. It emerged in Wuhan, Hubei, China. It has since spread all across the world at a rapid pace. World Health Organization declared COVID-19 outbreak as a global pandemic on the 11th of March 2020. As of 12 March 2020, we see over 126,000 confirmed case in more than 110 countries and territories, with major outbreaks in mainland China, Italy, South Korea, and Iran. More than 4,600 have died from the disease and 68,000 have recovered. One of the most shocking facts is that there is still no clear answer to how the virus can be spread.

Now you know that the coronavirus outbreak is nothing to consider lightly. We need to understand all the symptoms and its preventive measures. We, as business individuals, workers, parents and students have to take steps to ensure that we create awareness as much as we can about the virus. Even though its prevention mainly includes just good basic hygiene, many people are still not aware of the same. This could lead to them contracting the virus, and even worse, spread it to others.

With this in mind, here are life-saving design templates for 6 products which you can use intelligently to create awareness among a huge audience. We’ve designed the templates with information from WHO so that you won’t have to.

1. COVID Awareness Posters

If you work in an office, sticking A3-sized awareness posters near water coolers, washroom doors and office walls can help in imparting knowledge to your employees. Bigger A2-sized posters can be placed on common areas such as cafeterias, outside office doors, and even on shop windows.

You can edit the template as per your needs. If you feel like you need to add a few more preventive measures or other important information, you can add them too. You can even include the contact details of your nearest hospital.

2.  7″ x 6″ Stickers for Awareness

These smaller stickers are perfect to be placed inside bathrooms. One such awareness sticker near washbasins would be smart, don’t you think? Place them inside elevators as well, for people to read whilst waiting to reach their floor. You can also remind employees to wash their hands often or to use hand sanitizers whenever necessary by placing a sticker at their office desks.

3. Tent Cards

Even though Tent Cards are smaller in size, they can hold a lot more information than a standard poster. They have a larger area to include awareness related content. These table cards can be effective on reception desks of hotels, restaurants and corporate offices. Place them on employees’ desks as well.

4. Standees

While events all around the world are getting cancelled, you can implement event standees to spread awareness about coronavirus instead. Again, with a larger surface area, it can be a strong source of information if space is used effectively. Place standees inside and outside office buildings. Make sure you place them in the right places so that every person could see the standee easily.

5. Banners for Public Awareness

Banners are one of the most effective and largest advertising materials. At a precautionary time like this, use large banners to create widespread awareness to a large audience. Hang them outside office buildings (or any building for that matter). You can even place them in apartment societies and even on trees. For now, let’s convert this outdoor marketing strategy into a method to create awareness about the coronavirus outbreak.

6. Awareness Flyers

Another classic advertising tool is the trusty Flyer. Use flyers effectively to create and spread awareness about coronavirus and it’s preventive measures. Distribute flyers to employees and even people who come across your street so that they’ll get to know about the disease and its prevention (Wear gloves before doing this though! One of the most important preventive measures is to reduce human contact to the minimum). Or simply just place flyers in the common areas where employees could each pick one up.
